Research

We attach utmost importance to research at the Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna-Speising.

At the newly established Spine Cell Laboratory, we are looking for new ways to recultivate defective human tissue in vitro in order to create healthy tissue material that may serve the patient as biologically renewed intervertebral disc in the future.

Apart from these research approaches in the field of spine surgery, the Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna-Speising also conducts research in orthopaedic pain therapy. These studies are carried out within the scope of the research association CEOPS (>> Link: Ceops studies).

We strive for innovative therapy forms also in the fields of endoprosthetics, paediatric orthopaedics, sports orthopaedics and anaesthesiology.
