Service portfolio

We offer rehabilitation according to international standards after
spine, shoulder, hand, hip, knee, and foot surgery.
According to the medical therapy plan, the team of therapists first offers
inpatient and then outpatient treatment after the hospital stay if a medical
voucher can be presented.
Conservative treatment of spine pain avoids surgery for more than 80% of all
patients. This achievement is a trademark of our therapeutic work. Enhancement
of muscle power and coordination is one of the focuses of our treatment concept
and is gained by individual exercise therapy, hydrogymnastics, and medical
training therapy with sports equipment. We support the patient by providing
behavioural therapeutic information and enabling him or her to cope with
afflictions through independent activity.
Pain and functional disorders are decrypted by examination procedures, such
as manual examination of musculature and joints and movement and functional
analyses, and by technical diagnostic procedures, such as electroneurography in
cases of neuroparalysis or ultrasonography of vessels in cases of peripheral
circulatory disorders. The examinations aid us in determining the most suitable
therapy combinations for each individual patient.
Outpatient services:
Our Departmental examinations include medical examinations, consultations in
cases of complex pain syndromes, and creation of outpatient rehabilitation
programmes. In addition, we offer special examinations, such as nerve
conduction studies, electromyography, and preoperative peripheral arterial and
venous Doppler and duplex ultrasonography.
The Department offers the following therapy types:
Physiotherapy: With physiotherapy, we focus on treatment of
the locomotor system regarding movement and behaviour. With the aid of special
manual and other physiotherapeutic techniques, physiotherapists activate
self-regulating forces of the organism (e.g., wound healing) and encourage the
patients independence. The goal is to reestablish physical health.
Physiotherapy can be administered as group therapy or individual therapy.
Occupational therapy: Our occupational therapy service offers self-help
training, joint protection instructions, ergonomic advice (individual and group
therapy), therapeutic appliances advice and care instructions, hand therapy,
splint provision, functional training, a paraffin group, and a preoperative hip
group.
Electrotherapy: We offer therapies with galvanisation, impulse
galvanisation, frequency modulation, surge current, exponential current,
ultrasonics, and medical laser applications. Massage therapy is also offered.
Partial massages are administered with the classical technique, in special
cases. Manual lymphatic drainage is also available.
Moor: Disposable moor compresses and/or cold packs are applied
to treat rising temperature patterns based on medical indications.
Subaqueous applications: Our Department is equipped to provide
subaqueous-pressure-stream-massage with the intensity adjusted to the
individual patients needs in a warm 35C pool.
